Marketing Through Social Media – International Presence
Becollage's collage paintings are created to be seen, shared, bought and experienced — not stored away in a private archive. Birgit markets her work professionally, building a global presence across social media. Her complete portfolio is showcased on Instagram (be_collage), TikTok (@be_collage) and Pinterest, where she is highly active and continuously expanding her international reach.
A lifelong risk-taker and global traveller, Birgit has lived with locals around the world and embraced foreign cultures and customs wherever she went. These experiences are woven directly into her collages. Look closely and you may find a bill or coin from a distant country, a subway ticket, or even an AA token. Everything she has encountered since her teenage years has the potential to become part of her visual language. Her home functions as her personal gallery. "My pictures are hung everywhere in my apartment, but space is slowly running out, and some pieces now have to be stored externally," she says.
It was only natural to extend her art onto clothing and accessories, wearable pieces for people who share her passion for travel, adventure, and the risks of the unknown. Wearing the Becollage brand means identifying with a lifestyle: colorful, bold, curious, and unafraid of new cultures and encounters.
Birgit does not yet have gallery representation, though she is open to collaboration. "I believe there is a market for colorful and flamboyant art in Dubai, the USA, India, and Brazil," she notes. She has not held a solo exhibition yet, but her work is already gaining international attention. In August 2023, she participated in the ART-BOX.PROJECT in Zurich, followed by an exhibition at the Mana Convention Center in Miami that December. In October 2026 she will be exhibiting in Paris. NY Arts Magazine has published a substantial feature on her work.
Fresh, colorful, feminine, and unmistakably different. This is how Becollage defines her art, now celebrated across the globe. "My art is my elixir of life," Birgit states. Her practice revolves around kaleidoscopic collages that shimmer with glitter and vibrancy. The originals are meticulously applied to canvas and enriched with layers of paint, while selected motifs find new life on bags, jackets, and everyday objects. In her hands, the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
Future Directions
Birgit will continue creating new collages inspired by her travels, memories, and encounters with new people. She plans to pursue a dual path: producing detailed canvas works shown in global exhibitions while developing wearable art with brand and business considerations in mind.
Her ambitions reach far beyond. "I can imagine Cardi B carrying a bespoke handbag with my prints, or Burna Boy wearing a T-shirt as a stage outfit. I've already reached out to some music artists like Jizzle in The Gambia. And of course, I can sell my original canvas babies too, if the price is right.
